Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-14

This privacy policy applies to the TorchPhoto app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by PixelBrick (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”). This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Information Collection and Use

TorchPhoto is designed to browse photos and videos from FTP servers configured by the user. The Application does not upload, transmit, or store your photos or videos on the Service Provider’s servers.

Your media files are accessed directly between your mobile device and the FTP server that you configure. The Service Provider does not have access to your FTP server, FTP credentials, photos, videos, folders, or file contents.

The Application may store FTP server connection information provided by the user, such as server address, port, username, password, and selected directory paths, locally on the user’s device for the purpose of connecting to the user’s own server.

The Application may create and store thumbnails, cache files, favorites data, and related metadata locally on the user’s device to provide the Application’s core browsing features and improve performance. This data remains on the user’s device unless the user deletes it, clears the cache, or removes the Application.

The Application does not collect precise location information about your mobile device (such as GPS-level location).

The Application does not collect or use your device’s location for geolocation services.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may ask you to provide certain information, such as information included in support emails. Any information you voluntarily provide will be used only for the purpose it was provided and handled as described in this privacy policy.

Third Party Access

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share user photos, videos, FTP credentials, server information, thumbnails, cache files, favorites data, or folder information with third parties.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop use of the Application and remove locally stored Application data by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

FTP connection information, thumbnails, cache files, favorites data, and related metadata are stored locally on the user’s device and are not retained on the Service Provider’s servers. If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider, such as by contacting support, the Service Provider will retain it only for as long as necessary to respond to your request and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you’d like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application or support contact, please contact the Service Provider at teamtorchphoto@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (teamtorchphoto@gmail.com) so that they can take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (in some countries the parent or guardian may consent on your behalf).
